The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde has come a long way to get to where we are today. The journey has not always been an easy one. But we have persevered and are focused on laying the foundation for the next seven generations.
The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde today
Today, we comprise more than 30 tribes and bands with nearly 5,500 members. We are a sovereign tribal community known as a caring people dedicated to the principles of honesty and integrity.
Through our acquisition of the Willamette Falls site, now called tumwata village, we have renewed our connection to our ancestral homelands, culture and history.
Our optimism for the future stems from our vision for the site. It is a vision of healing and restoration for the land and the water; a vision of sharing the story and culture of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde; and a welcoming vision of renewed access and future prosperity for everyone.
